Day -2: Planning and Packing

So I am not quite sure how this all works.  There may be some missteps along the way, so please bear with me.

I will be visiting some of the Hudson's Bay and Northwest Co. fur trading posts over the next 10 days that my father's mother's grandfather was stationed at.  His name was Hypolite Brissette, and he spent two decades in the fur trade in what is now western Canada and Washington.  He married a Cree woman who was a member of a tribe living at Lesser Slave Lake in Alberta.  The postings are taken from the Hudson's Bay archives in Winnipeg.

The approximate locations are shown on the map below.

My first stop will be in Colville, WA.  I plan to leave on Tuesday morning, June 5th.

This journey is an exploration of my past, and a chance to understand, perhaps, my own context in a larger time frame as I journey into a new phase of my own life and am making plans for it.
